Trainee Unified Comms Engineer

We are seeking trainee Unified Comms Engineers, due to a shortage of skilled people in the UK, you will go through an intense 18-month training programme where you will gain necessary skills required to do the job.

No experience is required as full training will be given to all successful candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, connecting, and testing cabling
  • Diagnosing and fixing faults in systems
  • Building and testing telecommunications / AV / CCTV components and equipment.
  • General administration support to the Service team.
  • Talking customers through basic user instructions after initial set up.
  • Installing/Fault finding routers, modems, and network switches
  • Visiting customer premises
  • Working in the field
  • Overtime when required.
  • Update the company ticketing system.

Requirements

  • Be a quick learner.
  • Be able to think in a structured manner.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
  • High school diploma: GSCE’s or equivalent
